The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Modern Languages to join Stewart’s Melville College on a permanent, part-time basis as part of a job share as soon as possible (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is part-time, working either 0.2 or 0.4 FTE. The post is on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale A with remuneration ranging from £6,901 to £19,990, dependant on skills, experience and working hours. The role is based at Stewart’s Melville College, Queensferry Road.
The purpose of the role is to teach French and German and will include such duties as:
- Preparing and delivering French and German to all Senior classes, up to and including Advanced Higher
The successful candidate must be registered, or eligible to be registered, with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, hold a recognised teaching qualification in the relevant subject, be an independent, self-motivated and organised, with an ability to collaborate with colleagues across the wider school community. A familiarity with Scottish Qualifications and further qualifications which support the extra-curricular program are desirable.
