The Role
We are seeking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic individual to carry out caretaking and maintenance duties working as part of a small team in our thriving co-educational independent specialist day school.
Main Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities:-
- General maintenance and upkeep of the school premises
- Ensuring the school grounds are safe, clean, and welcoming
- Completing basic safety checks and general maintenance linked to Health and Safety
- Basic repair work and liaising with contractors when necessary
- Assisting with relocating of furniture as and when required
- Assisting with the setup of school events and activities
Candidates should be able to work well with others as an integral part of The Levels School team to assist a seamless operation of maintenance needs whilst being confident in their own abilities to be able to work unsupervised when required.
Working hours: 07.30 – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday
35 hours per week All Year Round, we would consider Part Time hours for the right candidate.

- Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role (preferred but not essential)
- A proactive approach to work with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff
