The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant (Guidance) to join both senior schools (The Mary Erskine School and Stewart’s Melville College) on a fixed-term contract from 21 October 2024 until June 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is part-time, working 27.5 hours per day with a salary range of £17,189- £18,595 per annum (ESMS Support Staff F Scale).
The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Deputy Heads (Middle and Upper School), including diary management, meeting minutes, and uploading documents to the MIS. Responsibilities also include managing daily updates on student information, supporting school events, maintaining student records, and assisting with tasks like school trips, vaccinations, assemblies, and catering requirements, as well as other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment and experience of database administration, ideally in a school or education setting. They will be able to multi-task and prioritise their own workload with good attention to detail. It is essential that the candidate is committed to the ESMS values and is a team player.
