The Role

The Mary Erskine School is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Chemistry to join the School on a temporary basis as soon as possible until 19 December 2025, to cover a period of Maternity Leave.  The role is Full Time with a salary on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale Grade A which is £34,508 to £49,977 per annum. The role is based at The Mary Erskine School Ravelston site. 

The purpose of the role is to teach Chemistry at all levels, up to and including Advanced Higher. 

The successful candidate must have a recognised Teaching Qualification with subject specific degree level qualification. The successful candidate must be registered with, or be eligible to be registered with, the GTCS.

Eligibility 

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa.
