The Role
An opportunity exists to join our team as Office Manager. The post holder will manage the administrative functions undertaken by the Office and work closely with the Finance Officer to help facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the school.
The post is for 37 hours a week during term time, on staff training days and 2 weeks towards the end of the summer holidays. The normal working hours will between 8am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with half an hour for lunch.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Assist the Principal Finance Officer in the recruitment, selection and appointment of Office and other Admin Staff.
- Undertake HR administration, maintain the Single Central Record and undertake DBS checks.
- Have an overview of the personnel and administrative processes undertaken in the Office.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of the Office Team and have a general oversight of other Support Staff when requested.
- Set work priorities, allocate duties and ensure that duties are undertaken to the required standard. Resolve any difficulties as they arise.
- Ensure that electronic correspondence is stored systematically and linked to student records as appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential/Desirable skills and knowledge include:
- Of working in an educational environment
- Of working within an HR admin environment
- Supervisory experience Qualified First Aider (or willingness to train)
- Providing a customer based service
- Excellent numeric and communication skills
- Good organisational abilities
- Ability to manage competing deadlines Able to lead a team and individuals
